Polly A. Mccarter

Polly A. McCarter, age 93, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 in Lakeland. Born May 5, 1928 in Nauvoo, AL, she was the daughter of the late Elijah M. and Ora (Jones) Bircheat. Mrs. McCarter worked in the retail industry for many years as a cashier. Polly is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Tommy Odom (Pamela) of Lakeland, David Odom of Winter Haven, and Becky Phillips (Terry) also of Winter Haven, She also leaves behind her sister, Jerri Bilbrey (Ronnie) of Winter Haven, her grandchildren: Jamie, Nicole, Jason, Josh, Aaron, Brittney and eleven great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at 10:00am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
