Phillip Hall

Bartow - Phillip Hall, age 60, passed away August 6, 2022, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. He was born on June 19, 1962, in Bartow, FL. Phillip Hall, a devout Christian, went to be with the Lord. His father, Harvey Hall, and his brothers and sister were all able to be with him in his last hours, as were several cousins. In 1980, Phillip’s parents moved from Ft. Lauderdale to Bartow, Florida and Phillip, at the age of 16, went with them. He lived his adult life in and around Bartow where he worked as a skilled carpenter (with occasional forays to South Florida to help his big brothers). First and foremost Phillip was an artist who could do virtually anything with his hands. He spent many years learning the trade of restoring antique furniture and excelled at turning other people’s waste into highly desired works of great beauty. Feeling the need to earn a living to support his family, Phillip became a postman and the skills he gained at the United States Post Office gave him an idea about how to develop photo-realistic mosaic tiles. Over the past 18 years he has created many artworks that are unique in the art world using a labor intensive process he created. These works, if properly cared for should last thousands of years. Phillip was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. He is survived by a loving family that includes his brothers John Hall ( Ines Triay) of Miami, Tom Hall (Karen) of Hollywood, sister Cathy Keim (Steve) of Jacksonville, stepson David Lahr (Natalie) of Highland City, stepdaughters Holly Gonzales (Carlos) of Winter Haven & Ginger Viamonte of Winter Haven and several grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 10 AM - 11 AM at First Baptist Church of Bartow. Funeral service will follow at 11AM at First Baptist Church of Bartow. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow. We will miss him, but we rejoice in knowing he is with our Lord Jesus.
