Peggy May Langston

Fort Meade – Peggy May Langston, age 97 passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2026. She was born on December 23, 1928, in Fort Meade, FL to Edward Dudley & Bonnie Mae Durrance Dishong. Peggy was a bookkeeper for their family business Langston Chevron Service Station in Fort Meade, and she was a Fort Meade Historian. She was a lifetime member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, former Vice-President of the Fort Meade Historical Society, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. Peggy was proceeded in death by her husband, Donald R. Langston, daughter Cheryl Langston Morrison, son-in-law Mike Birdsong, granddaughter Angela Birdsong, brother Edward Dishong, sisters Wanda Smith and Ruth Gray. She is survived by her son Donald Langston (Lois), two daughters Judith Birdsong and Cammie Holder, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren, twelve great-great grandchildren, and very special nieces, nephews and extended family members.Family will receive friends 10:00 am to 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 307 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, FL. Pastor Kenny Slay will officiate.
