Peggie Brightwell

Peggie Brightwell, age 82, passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Lakeland. Born December 3, 1935 in Tyner, TN, she was the daughter of the late George H. and Dorothy Liner. Mrs. Brightwell was a member of Scott Lake Baptist Church in Lakeland and worked as a Loan Officer in the banking industry in the Wauchula area for many years. Along with her parents, Mrs. Brightwell is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Brightwell and her son Terry Chaney. She is survived by her son Timothy Chaney (Peggy) of Wauchula, her step sons: Jeffrey Brightwell (Eileen) of Riverview, Scott Brightwell (Debi) of Lakeland, her siblings: Susan Hunt (Robert) of Lakeland, Jackie Lindsey (Lee) of Lakeland, Sharon Moore (Bobby) of Frostproof and George H. Liner, Jr. (Sharon) of Lakeland. She also leaves behind her grandchildren: Corey (Cayla), Matthew, Lucas, Kara (Michael), Robbie (Cassandra) and six great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 10th at 11:00am at Lakeland Memorial Gardens, 2125 U.S. 98 South in Lakeland. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Scott Lake Baptist Church, c/o the Ministry for the Homebound.
