Paula Lanier Green

Fort Meade - Paula Glorine Green, age 73, passed away Thursday, January 20, 2022, at Bartow Regional Medical Center. She was born in Sebring, FL on Friday, August 6, 1948, to Eldon and Betty Jo Lanier. Prior to moving to Fort Meade 6 years ago, she was a long-time resident of Bartow. She graduated from Summerlin Institute (Bartow High School) in June of 1966. She spent 16 years as a bank teller before going to work with the Polk County School Board where she retired as an Adult Education Secretary. Paula was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Bartow. She spent many years supporting girls fastpitch softball and was the driving force behind the Bartow High School Softball Concessions. She loved spending time fishing, watching sports, playing games, and loving her dogs. She was a supporter of ASPCA, Frankie’s Friends, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Paula is survived by her husband of 53 years Richard Green; daughter Christy Green Sprague (Dale); granddaughter Kenzie Sprague; sister Anna Bea Lazorko, all of Fort Meade; three sisters-in-law: Diane Bryant (Larry), Gatlinburg, TN; Susan Bedford (Rocky), Winter Haven; Jackie Johnson (Johnny), Bartow; three brothers-in-law: Bobby Green (Penny), Eagle Lake; Billy Green and Tim Green, both of Bartow; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephews.
