Patricia "Pat" Markle

Fort Meade - Patricia "Pat" Markle 81, passed away Thursday, August 11, 2016 in Lakeland, FL. Pat was born June 20, 1935 in New Kensington, PA. She was a loving wife and mother and still found the time to be an entrepreneur in several different businesses. She was a member of Fort Meade Post 11179 Women's Auxiliary. Pat was preceded in death by her parents: Herbert and Louise Covey, two brothers: Herbert and Harvey Covey and daughter: Katherene Hall. She is survived by her husband: William "Bill" Markle of Fort Meade. Her children: Don Moyer, Jr. (Marti) of Linden, TN, Shirley Moyer-Ankrim (Dan) of Fort Meade, Bruce Moyer (Valerie) of Lakeland, Patti Curless (Bob) of Marietta, GA, Ron Hall (Maria) of Baltimore, MD, Susan Clawson of Stockton, Missouri, Chrissy Mains of St. Petersburg, Becky Markle-Silva (Chris) of Lakeland, and Bill Markle, Jr. (Marilynn) of Bloomsburg, PA. Two sisters: Louise Clawson and June Markle (Dave) and two brothers: Albert Covey (Ruth) and Howard Covey all of Pennsylvania. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Monday, August 15, 2016 from 5 to 7 pm at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 16, 2016, at 11:00 am at McLean Funeral Home with Pastor Travis Risner officiating. Burial will be held at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade.
