Ouida W. Ford

Ouida W. Ford, age 91, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 in Lakeland. Born November 20, 1923 in Lyons, GA, she was the daughter of the late Porter W. and Ethel Wilkes. Mrs. Ford owned and operated Ouida's Hairstyles in Bartow for many years. She was also a member of the Word of Life Christian Center and the V.F.W. Women's Auxiliary in Bartow. Ouida is preceded in death by her husband Andrew L. Ford, Sr. and her son Andrew L. Ford, Jr. She is survived by nieces Vangie Harris, Diane Kefalos both of Lakeland along with their families, and several other nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind her close family friends Ralph and Gail Pitts with their sons Andrew and Kevin Pitts along with their families. The Family will receive friends on Saturday January 10, 2015 from 9am to 10am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 10:00am at the funeral home chapel.
