Ouida Georgia Howze Baker, 89, of Fort Meade, FL, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at her Residence. She was born February 28, 1922 in Zolfo Springs. Ouida was a beloved Homemaker and bookkeeper for her husband at Polk Ice Company in Fort Meade, she also was a devoted member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Baker, Sr. and Great-Grand daughter Karen Walker. She is survived by her three Daughters: Patricia Walker & husband Robert of Englewood. Judith Cochran & husband Wayne of Lakeland and Brenda Ashe & husband Raymond, of Clermont. Son John A Baker, Jr. & wife Julie of Fort Meade. Seven Grandchildren: Bobby Walker & wife Carol of Lakeland, Cindy Easler, Marrietta, GA, Sara Olson & husband Eric of Lakeland, Tara Strickland & husband Miles of Lakeland, John A. Baker III & wife Kelley of Longwood, Jason Baker of Fort Meade and Debbra Johnson & husband Donny of Lakeland. Ten Great-Grandchildren: Ryan Easler and Regis Wilmot & husband Paul of Marrieta, GA Robbie Walker & wife Dawn, Emily Strickland, Alaina Olson, Chloe Strickland, Luke Olson, Andrew Strickland, John Olson and Elisabeth Johnson all of Lakeland. Five Great-Great-Grandchildren: Alyssa Walker, Zachary Walker, Justin Walker, Conner Wilmot and Emery Grace Wilmot. Numerous nieces & nephews. Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Tuesday, April 26, 2011. Wednesday, April 27, 2011, the family will receive friends from 10 to 11 am at First Baptist Church, 307 East Broadway in Fort Meade. The Servces will follow at 11:00 am First Baptist Church, Rev. Kenny Slay officiating. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade.
