Orie Lee Pugh

Orie "Lee" Pugh, age 85, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow. Born August 22, 1930 in Sarepta, LA, Mr. Pugh was a resident of Bartow since 1986, moving from Lake Wales. He was a Science & Physical Education Teacher for many years. He was a baseball enthusiast and an avid Rays Fan. Lee was a dedicated Christian who loved the Lord. He loved with all his heart his wife and family. He was survived by his wife of 30 years, Nancy K. Pugh, Bartow; five daughters:, Grace Owen, Shari Mayfield and Nan Simon, all of Lakeland, Barbie Miller of Bartow & Cindy Sloan of Winter Haven, six grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2016 from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2016, at 10:00 AM at Bartow First Assembly of God. 915 S. Broadway Ave. Interment will be held at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cornerstone Hospice, 2590 Havendale Blvd, Winter Haven, 33880.
