Oliver Slay

Fort Meade- Oliver Slay 84 passed away Wednesday, December 16, 2015. Mr. Slay was born July 17, 1931 in Talladega, AL. He served in the US Air Force for 22 years retiring as Chief Master Sergeant. After retiring from the military Oliver worked 10 years for American Cyanamid Phosphate Company and later worked at Suntrust Bank. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Oliver is survived by his wife of 59 years Marjorie Hancock Slay. Daughter Beverly Reves & husband Steve and two sons Terry Slay & wife Teresa and Kenny Slay & wife Susan. Six grandchildren Brian Reves & wife Heidi, Jana Williams & husband Danny, Anna Slay, Andrew Slay & wife Ashley, Kendrick Slay and Connor Slay. Five great grandchildren Braden Williams, Allie Williams, Brantley Williams, Maddux Reves and Channing Reves. Family will receive friends Saturday, December 19, 2015 from 2 - 3 pm at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Funeral service will follow Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade. Burial will be at Hancock Cemetery in Fort Meade. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Fort Meade building fund.
