Odie Mae Sikes

Lakeland- Mrs. Odie Mae Sikes, 88, of Lakeland, died Thurs, May 24, 2007, at her residence in Lakeland of heart failure. A native of Dexter, GA, Mrs Sikes has lived in Lakeland since 1984, moving from Bartow. She was a finance clerk for the Polk School Board for many years. She was a member and longtime Sunday school teacher at the Bartow First Bapitst Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raleigh O. Sikes, Jr, She is survived by her son: Tom Sikes and daughter: Diane S. Ward both of of Lakeland; brother: Cecil Spangler of Ocala; Grandson-James R. Ward, Jr. and Wife Kristie of Lake Wales; Granddaughter; Pam W. Craven and Husband Will of Orlando; Great Grandsons William James Craven and Ethan Raleigh Craven of Orlando; Step great grand son: Kristopher Moore of Lake Wales; Former Son-in-Law: Jim Ward of Bartow. Family will receive friends 6-8 pm Monday May 28, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Services will be held Tues, 11:00 AM at the funeral home.
