Fort Meade- Norman W. Skipper, Sr., age 84, passed away early Saturday morning in Auburndale. Born November 14, 1936 in Bartow, Mr. Skipper was the son of the late Rev. R.A. and Vera (Mercer) Skipper. Norman worked as a Butcher in the Meat Processing industry for many years. He attended the Family Worship Center in Lakeland. Along with his parents, Mr. Skipper is preceded in death by his son Terry Skipper, his brothers: Verdon Skipper and his wife Joyce, Leroy Skipper, his sisters: Rosie King and her husband Bill and Nina Fralic and her husband Uhlan. Norman is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 67 years, Judy Skipper, his sons: Dennis Skipper, Gary Skipper (Susan), Noman "Wilton" Skipper, Jr., his sister-in -law, Shirley Skipper and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 10th from 10am to 11am at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade. Funeral Services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home.
