Norman A. Welch

Norman A. Welch, age 95, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2021 in Auburndale. Born March 31, 1926 in Ansted, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Fredrick F. Welch and Janie (Davis) Welch. Mr. Welch was an U.S. Navy Veteran in WWII. After his service, he returned home and worked in th coal mining industry for many years. He was also a Baptist. Along with his parents, Mr. Welch is preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Carol Estep, and his granddaughter, Stephanie Estep. He leaves behind a loving family that includes his wife of 74 years, Mary Lee (Skaggs) Welch, his children: Mary Elaine Hawkins (Jim), Norma Lee "Casey" McCoy (Ernie), Joel David Welch (Jennette), James T. Welch (Lisa), his sister Kitty Trippany, his grandchildren: Todd, Adam, Joseph, Justin, Jacob, Michelle, Ammie, Kristin, Kelly and Megan. He also leaves behind twelve great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, December 29th at 11:00am at Rolling Hills Cemetery in Winter Haven.
