Nobie Margaret Rhoden

Nobie Margaret Rhoden, 90, of Fort Meade, FL, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at her residence. Mrs. Rhoden was born November 4, 1921 in Cannon, GA. She moved from North Carolina to Bartow in 1947 and later to Fort Meade in 1981. She was a Homemaker and faithful member of Lake Buffum Baptist Church. She touched the lives of many people with her sweet nature and grace. Although short in stature, her class and seemingly endless of supply of kindness, commanded respect from anyone fortunate enough to come in contact with her. Her giving heart will always be remembered. Mrs. Rhoden maintained her trademark positive attitude and sharp mind all the way to the end. She is survived by her husband of 68 years Rayford Rhoden of Fort Meade. Two Daughters; Dorsey Wadell of Asheville, NC and Betty Blades of Lakeland. Son; Harold Rhoden of Fort Meade. Sister; Amy Brown and Brother; Harold Johnson Five Grandchildren; including Brad (Julie) Rhoden of Lakeland; and Eight Great grandchildren. Funeral service will be at Lake Buffum Baptist Church at 11:00 AM, Friday, March 9, 2012, Kenny Slay officiating. Interment will be at Lake Buffum, Fort Meade, FL. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
