Nina Bolling Meier

Nina Bolling Meier, age 89, passed away on Thursday July 27,2023 at her home in Bartow FL. Born April 2,1934 in Jasper, AL she was the daughter of Howard Franklin Bolling and Rosa (Hall) Bolling. Nina was a member of the Church of Christ in Bartow for over 60 years, serving as a teacher, leader in lady's activities and provided beautiful floral arrangements for the auditorium. She was also very active in the Bartow Garden Club and lent her floral talents to many civic and charity events and to many local brides. She loved to read, was an excellent Southern cook and loved traveling with her family. Mrs. Meier was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Carl Gene Meier (November 11,2022), her parents and two brothers Howard Franklin Bolling Jr and George Richard Bolling. She is survived by her children: Susan Meier Orr (William) of Bartow, Brian Gene Meier (Lea) of Homerville GA and Steven Bolling Meier (Susan) of Bartow. She also leaves behind grandchildren: Andrew, Evan, Steven and Mary (Kobe)Bryan and great grandson Kole Bryan. A private family graveside service was held Tuesday, August 1st at Wilwood Cemetary. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Good Shepard Hospice of Auburndale.
