Nelle Masters

Mrs. Nelle Masters, age 92, passed away from natural causes July 22, 2009. Born June 27, 1917 in Big Stone Gap, VA, she was the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Maggie Gilley Williams. Mrs. Masters was a homemaker and a member of First United Methodist Church of Bartow, where she was active in the women's group of the church. Mrs. Masters was preceded in death by her husband, Victor Charles Masters, Sr.. She is survived by two daughters; Elaine Futch (Frank) of Tampa, Marlene Dell (Dwayne) of Bartow, two sons; Victor Masters, Jr. of Tampa, and Dennis Masters (Cyndi) of Lilburn, GA. She also leaves behind twelve grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Sunday, July 26th from 4pm to 6pm. Services for Mrs. Masters will follow Monday, July 27th at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
