Neda Davis

Lakeland- Mrs. Neda J. Davis, age 80, of Lakeland, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at home of renal failure. Mrs. Davis was born February 21, 1928 in Tenbrook, AL. A longtime resident of Bartow, Mrs Davis moved to Lakeland in 1999. She was a citrus sectionizer for Bordo Citrus in Winter Haven for 27 years. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Willard A. Davis and her son Keith Davis. She is survived by her four daughters; Janice C. & husband John Sparks, Sharon A. & husband Lee Clayton; Cheryl Lynn & husband Tim Powell all of Lakeland; and Angela M. & husband Harold Baker of Ashland City, TN.; two sons: Tony R. & wife Judith Sparks of Bartow & Jerry V. & wife Donna Sparks of Rainbow City, AL; sister: Ann Warren of Atlanta; caregiver: Debbie Baker. 14 grandchildren & 20 great grandchildren. She will be remembered for her bright smile and warm heart and indomitable spirit. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 21, 2008, at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
