Natalie B. Bergquist

Natalie Becker Bergquist,, age 82, passed away Friday, September 9, 2011 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born November 27, 1928 in Ridgewood, FL, Mrs. Bergquist was a lifelong resident of Bartow. "Miss Natalie" as her students called her taught at Hunter's Kindergarden and Oaks School for over thirty years. She was a member of the Bartow Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church & ARP Women's Circle. She tutored many local students through the years, hugging everyone she met. Mrs. Bergquist was preceded in death by her husband John A. Bergquist. She is survived by three sons: Glenn Gilchrist & wife: Victoria of The Woodlands, TX; Greg Bergquist & wife Connie of Santa Rosa, CA; Gary Gilchrist & wife Michelle of Venice, FL; daughter: Janet Bulman & husband Lyle of Bartow; thirteen grandchildren: James Gilchrist & wife Alison; Andrew Gilchrist; Christopher Gilchrist; Jonathan Bergquist; Susanna Holeman; Jackson Gilchrist; Samantha Gilchrist; Taylor Gilchrist; Brandon Bulman & wife Niki; Bryan Bulman; Brett Bulman; Michael Best; & Matthew Best; a great granddaughter; Sage Best.. Family will receive friends Sunday, September 11, 2011 from 6:00 - 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday, September 12, 2011, at 3:00 PM at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 E. Stanford, Bartow.
