Nancy Louise Murphy

Mulberry - Nancy Murphy, age 81, passed away January 13, 2021 at her residence in Mulberry. She was born on January 29, 1939 in Medulla, FL. She was a Bookkeeper for the Polk County School Board for over 25 years. She was a member of Willow Oak Baptist Church. She enjoyed traveling, sewing, crocheting and roses. Most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James (Jim) H. Murphy and son Jimmie Purcell (Andrea), sister Katherine (Kitty) White (Jimmy), and brothers Terry Spates & Jerry Spates. She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughters Jody Bryant (Robert), Kathy Bowen (Craig), Patti O' Cain (Phillip) Vanan Hampton (Leon), sons Louie Murphy (Dottie) & Bill Murphy (Stephanie), brothers Dunie Boyd (Cindy) & Paul Casteel (Diane), sister Pam Williams (Floyd), 23 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 10AM- 11AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. A funeral service will follow at 11AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Willow Oak Cemetery in Mulberry. Memorials may be made to The Alzheimer's Association or Cornerstone Hospice & Palliative Care.
