Nancy K. Heckert

Bartow - Nancy K. Heckert, age 97, passed away on November 4, 2024, at Highlands Lake Center in Lakeland. She was born on October 4, 1927, in Cleveland, OH. She was a Teacher at Port Clinton Jr. High School. She was a member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church in Bartow where she sang in the Chancel Choir and was part of the Ohio Retired Teachers Association. She enjoyed volunteering with Friends of Bartow Public Library. She enjoyed camping, walking, and reading. She was preceded in death by her husband Floyd Heckert. She is survived by her loving family that includes her sons Mark Heckert & his wife Sandra of Miami, FL & Scott Heckert of Bartow, grandson Steven Heckert of Miami and granddaughter Sandra Sofia of Miami.
