Nancy E. Chaney

Lakeland – Nancy E. Chaney, 72, passed away on July 1, 2026, at Bartow Regional Medical Center in Bartow, Florida, from complications of Multiple System Atrophy (MSA), a form of Parkinsons. Nancy was born on November 4, 1953, in Laurel, Maryland. After growing up in Baltimore, her marriage took her to Virginia, where she opened Frankie's Restaurant in Norfolk. After retiring, she enjoyed many wonderful years as a resident of the Floral Lakes community, where she made lasting friendships and cherished many happy memories. She was preceded in death by her husband, Corbett "Rick" Chaney; her parents, Calvin Ray and Eleanor Dunkle; her brother, Calvin Dunkle III; and her nephews, Calvin Dunkle IV and Bruce Rode. She is survived by her brother, Stanley Zylowski; her sisters, Carolyn Mitzel and Sandra Walker; her sister-in-law, Susie; and many loving nieces and nephews.
