Nadine Royal

Nadine Royal, age 86, passed away January 21, 2022, at Bridgewalk on Harden Health Care Center in Lakeland. She was born Monday, April 8, 1935, in Bartow. She was a member of Peace Creek Baptist Church. She retired as a Switchboard Operator with General Telephone Company after 26 years of service followed by a career as an Avon Representative for over 25 years. She enjoyed reading, baking, making crafts, gardening, watching Jeopardy, listening to gospel music, and spending time in the mountains of North Carolina and Tennessee with her best friend Larry McCormick. She was preceded in death by her son Curtis Hawkins & daughter Judith Tyson. She is survived by a loving family that includes her daughter Stacy Bowen (Paul) of Lakeland, sons Gary Hawkins (Marcie) of Lakeland and Bryan Hawkins (Thomas) of Texas. Six grandchildren Jeremy Hodges, Amanda Gonzalez (Noel), Steven Tyson (Ashley), Joshua Tyson (Justin), Jacob Bowen, Emily Bowen and four great grandchildren Noel Gonzalez III, Alyvia Wells, Krislynn Tyson, and Madilynn Tyson. A Funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Interment will be held at the Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
