Myrtle L. Chapman

Bartow- Myrtle Chapman, age 82, passed away at her home in Bartow on Friday, March 26, 2021. Born October 10, 1938 in Saluda, SC, she was the daughter of the late Harvey "Junior" and Iris (Temples) Rodgers. Myrtle was a longtime member of the Bartow Church of God. She retired from the Polk County School Board after many years of service as a Bus Driver, Cafeteria Worker and Para Professional. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Roy Chapman in 2008 and her daughter Vivian Peacock in 2019. She is survived by her sons: Michael Chapman (Karen) of Lakeland, David Chapman (Becky) of Gadsden, AL, and Mark Chapman of Bartow. She also leaves behind her brother, Randolph Rodgers (Gert) of Lakeland, eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 1st from 10am to 11am at the Bartow Church of God. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the church. Interment and committal will conclude the services at Bowling Green Cemetery in Bowling Green where she will be laid to rest next to her late husband Roy Chapman.
