Myrtice Mae Griffis

Myrtice Mae Griffis, 80, of Bartow, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at her residence in Bartow. Born September 10, 1929 in Moultrie GA, Mrs Griffis was a longtime resident of the area, moving from Georgia. Mrs. Griffis was employed by Polk County School Board as a lunchroom worker for many years. She attended the Blessed Assurance Temple in Bartow. She is survived by her three daughters: Linda Vallejo of Bartow; Sandy Martin of Milton, Fla; & Deborah Griffis of Auburndale. Three grand children: Adam Ray Gautney of Ft Hood, TX; Tina Nunce and Deborah Standing Cloud both of Tifton, GA. & 6 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Friday, Nov 27th 3-4 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 pm at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
