Murle L. Davis

Lakeland - Murle L. Davis, 83, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 of respiratory failure. Born April 19, 1930 in Coffee County Alabama to Alvin and Fannie Cawley Harrison. The family moved to Babson Park in 1941 and Murle spent most of her life in Polk County. She was a custodian for the Polk County School Board for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.T. "Jake" Davis. She is survived by a daughter, Janice M. Davis of Titusville, FL, a son, John A. Davis of Lakeland; and one sister, Bobbie Naydeen Jenkins of Mulberry. Family will receive friends Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 6:00- 8:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 12, 2013, at 10:00 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
