Fort Meade - Miriam Mercedes Carrion, age 85, passed away Friday, May 24, 2024. She was born April 2, 1939 in Cuba to Jesus & Angelina Perez. Miriam was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Fort Meade Methodist Church. Miriam loved her church, she volunteered her time helping in the nursery and vacation bible school. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Juan Carrion. Miriam is survived by her son Juan Carrion of Bartow, three daughters Meylin Nickerson & husband Kelly, Maritza Carrion Jackson and Lina West & husband Keith all of Fort Meade. Brother Roger De Jesus Perez Salas, two sisters Ligia Maria Haedo and Oneida Perez Salas, seven grandchildren Colby Nickerson, Mason Nickerson & wife Vanessa, Lynsi Nickerson, William Jackson, John Jackson, Ross West and Ryan West, two great grandchildren Alana Nickerson and Greyson Nickerson. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Methodist Church, 135 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Friday, May 31, 2024, at the Methodist Church. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
