Millard Hicks

Mr. Millard Hicks, age 90 died Saturday May 17, 2008 in Lakeland. Born on August 24, 1917 in Alabama, Mr. Hicks was a longtime area resident. Mr. Hicks was a Army veteran of WWII. Mr. Hicks is preceded in death by his wife, Carrie Hicks and is survived by his family that includes his daughter Sheree Reyes (Juaquin) of Avon Park, three sons; Randy Hicks of Winter Haven, Ricky Hicks of Polk City and Tex Hall of Lakeland. He also leaves behind two brothers; James Hicks, Robert Hicks, a sister Thelma Swafford, nine grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Wednesday May 21, 2008 from 2 PM to 3 PM. Services will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home chapel.
