Mildred L. Ruster

Mildred L. Ruster, age 94, passed away Monday, January 18, 2016 at her home in Bartow. Born September 4, 1921 in Wauchula, she was the daughter of the late William Floyd and Annie (Wenger) Tomlinson. Mrs. Ruster retired from the Polk County Clerk of the Courts office after 25 years of service as a Deputy Clerk. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bartow. Mildred is preceded in death by her husband William J. Ruster in 2005. She is survived by a loving family that includes four children: Gregory M. Ruster (Deborah) of Lakeland, Diane L. Mauldin (Larry) of Lakeland, Donald A. Ruster (Barbara) of Bartow, and David W. Ruster also of Bartow. Mrs. Ruster also leaves behind six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 21st from 5pm to 7pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow Friday, January 22nd at 11:00am at the First Presbyterian Church of Bartow, 355 S. Florida Ave. in Bartow.
