Mildred E. Nettles

Bartow - Mildred E Nettles, 86, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2013 from complications of Alzheimer's. She was born June 12, 1927 in Birmingham, AL. She was a resident of Bartow since 1942. She was a Bookkeeper for many years. She was a member of the Xi Delta Omega Sorority Bartow chapter. She was a Baptist. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband William "Dewey" Nettles and a sister Jeanette Starling. She is survived by daughter Gail (Fred) Bretz, son William "Bill" C. (Linda)Nettles; two brothers Roy C. (June) Locke and Carl E. (Frances) Locke, sister Juanita Lowery all of Bartow. Grandchildren: Jason (Rebecca) Nettles, Caren (Mark) Bodine, Eric (Lauren) Nettles. Great grandchildren: Brett, Dylan & Braydon Nettles and Jett & Ava Bodine. Numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Tuesday, December 3, 2013 from 1 to 2 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow. Funeral service will follow Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
