Mike Sherrer

Bartow - Mike Sherrer, age 55, went to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ Sunday, March 10, 2024. He was born June 22, 1968 in Lakeland, FL to Red & Linda Sherrer, Mike graduated from Bartow High School class of 1986. He was the Owner/Operator of Mike's Tree Service. He was a member of Bartow First Assembly of God. Mike loved to spend time on his boat, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He loved showing his skills grilling and smoking meat, he would take food to the homeless all over Polk county. Mike loved going to yard sales and finding a deal, he would buy clothes for children and people in need, he would always do anything to help anyone. He was instrumental in raising the funds to build two churches in Africa. Mike was preceded in death by his grandson Silas Easton Holland. And sent a few extra pictures. He is survived by his wife Rachel, daughter Katie Halcomb & husband Dustin of Bartow, parents Red & Linda Sherrer of Bartow, brother Scott Sherrer & wife Michelle of Bartow, his bonus daughter Sarah Barkley, bonus son Cody Barkley and granddaughter Chipper "Mae Mae" Halcomb. Family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2024 at Bartow First Assembly of God, 915 S Broadway Ave in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Bartow First Assembly of God. Burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
