Michael James Mobley

Michael James Mobley, 64, of Lakeland, Florida, was born December 30, 1961, in Bartow, Florida. He spent most of his life in Lakeland and also lived for a time in Zanesville, Ohio.

Michael was lovingly raised by his mother Gloria Yvonne Roberts, and had strong family roots in Fort Meade, Florida. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gloria Yvonne Roberts of Lakeland, Florida, Father Jesse Roberts, of Brunswick, Georgia, Grandparents, Earl and Edna Roberts, Bonnie Roberts, and several aunts, uncles and cousins to include Claude Roberts (Sue) and Clyde Roberts (Dorothy "Dot") Cousins, Dale and Gary Roberts.

Known for his kindness and generosity, Michael never met a stranger and was always willing to help others, whether working with neighbors or simply offering support. He enjoyed walking, talking with people, playing the lottery, and traveling, especially to Brunswick, Georgia.

He is survived by four brothers and three sisters, including (adopted brother Gainesville, Florida) Richard Mobley, Earleene Mobley, Calvin Seger, Sherry Blanchard of Lakeland, Florida, Jesse Mobley, and Jennifer Mobley Oglesby of Georgia, as well as many extended cousins, family members and friends from Florida and Zanesville, Ohio.

Michael will be remembered for his big heart and helpful spirit.

The Family will receive friends Friday, April 3, 2026 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at McLean Funeral Home in Fort Meade, FL. The Funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm Friday, April 3, 2026 at McLean Funeral Home. Burial at Mount Pisgah Cemetery in Fort Meade, FL.
