Michael Irvin

Bartow- Mr. Michael R. Irvin, 62, of Bartow, died Sat, April 14, 2007, at James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital in Tampa. A native of St Petersburg, FL, Mr. Irvin lived in Bartow for over 20 years. Mr. Irvin was a Marine Corps Veteran of the Vietnam War who never really hung up his saber; a Marine until his dying day. True to form, he demanded skill, precision, and commitment in all areas, most memorably his wife's cooking, his daughter's school work, the family's cell phone minutes, and the dog's feeding schedule. He leaves a legacy of hurricane preparedness, a well-organized refrigerator, and loving family who will never forget his presence, lessons, and love of his country. Semper Fi. He is survived by his wife of 27 years: Pamela Irvin of Bartow; daughter: Amanda Irvin of Orlando; sister: Janice Blanchard of St. Petersburg; 2 nieces: Kimberly Henson & Deanna Nieves both of St. Petersburg. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 10:00 am at Saint Thomas Catholic Church, 2180 S. Kissingen Ave, Bartow. Interment will be Monday, April 23, 2007 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation, P.O.
