Michael L. Ellis

Bartow - Michael L. Ellis, age 54, passed away Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at Winter Haven Hospital. Born February 20, 1967 in Fort Oglethorpe, GA, to Milton & Reba Clark Ellis, Michael was a longtime resident of Bartow. A graduate of Bartow High School, he was first employed with the City of Bartow Electrical Department as a lineman, later he was a Distribution Lineman with Florida Power & Light for many years.. He is survived by a loving family including his wife of 35 years: Tammy Lynn Ellis, Bartow; two sons: Joshua M. Ellis (Emily) & Jacob L. Ellis (Gabrielle), both of Mulberry; Parents: Milton & Reba Ellis, Bartow; brother: Bradley Ellis, Bartow; three sisters: Regina N. Dalton (David), Bartow; Rhonda D. Miller (Richard), Winter Haven & Julia A. Ellis, Jacksonville; 5 grandchildren: Jackson Ellis, Anthony Dumas, Allison Ellis, Jameson Ellis & Broly Ellis. The family will receive friends Saturday September 25, 2021 from 2:00 - 3:00 PM at Whidden Funeral Home, Bartow. A celebration of life service will follow at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
