Michael James Coulter

Michael James Coulter, 67, passed away on September 21, 2026. He was born on April 26, 1959, in Bartow, Florida, to Mary and Jimmy Coulter.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Lanelle Coulter; his daughter, Brittany Price (Tony); his son, Shane Coulter (Audrey); and his beloved grandchildren, Caroline, Carley, Beau Coulter, Brooklyn and Layla Price, and Dallas Raebig. He is also survived by his sisters, Janan McKerahan (Danny) and Michele Yates (Stephen) and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary and Jimmy Coulter, and his in-laws, Gene and Betty Collier.

Michael was a man who understood the value of hard work. He dedicated 41 years to Mosaic, formerly Cargill, and faithfully served his community as a member of the City of Fort Meade Fire Department for 20 years. He was also an avid cattle rancher and was happiest staying busy, whether he was tending cattle, building fence, or simply being with his family and friends.

As hard as Michael worked, he loved his family even more. He treasured vacations with family and friends, spending time in Englewood, fishing with his friends, and cheering on his Florida Gators. Some of his greatest joy, however, came from being a grandfather. He loved watching his grandchildren participate in their many sports and activities and was incredibly proud of each of them.

Michael was a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, where his parents also attended. His faith was not simply something he spoke about; it was part of who he was. Michael loved Jesus and was always willing to share that love with others.

Those who knew Michael will remember a hardworking, patient, kind, and quiet man who loved his family deeply and lived faithfully.

Family will receive friends Monday, September 28, 2026, from 1:30 pm to 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church, 307 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL.
