Bartow -Merlene Griner , age 82, passed away April 8, 2023, at Savannah Court in Bartow. She was born on August 28, 1940, in Geneva. AL. She worked as an Assembly Line Worker. She enjoyed gospel music, attending First Baptist Church of Lake Garfield, holidays and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Troy Griner and brothers Cecil Jackson & Curtis Jackson. She is survived by a loving family that includes her son Tim Griner (Arleen) of Alturas, daughter Dawn Wyant (David) of Bartow, brother Royce Jackson (Barbara) of Bartow, sister Jeanette Duke of Bartow, grandchildren Brandi, Caleb ,Lindsey, Emily, Aaron & Madison and great grandchildren Waylon, Cash, Jackson, Macie Jo, Arabella, Troy, Daxton, Murphy & Parker. Family will receive friends Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 14, 2023, at 10:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Lake Garfield. The interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
