Melvina "Mel" Letanosky

Lakeland - Melvina "Mel" Letanosky, 87, of Lakeland FL passed away peacefully on July 25, 2023. Melvina was born in Cumberland KY and moved to Florida in 1964. Her first love was her family followed by her love of traveling, with many visits to Alaska, her favorite. Melvina is survived by her loving family including daughter Dianne Hampton, grandchildren Heather Silver (Mike), Elise Letanosky, Michael Letanosky (Samantha) and David Letanosky. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Gavin Silver and Gracie Silver along with her sister-in-law's Betty Carroll and Francis Burton. Melvina was preceded in death by her husband, Claud "Jack" Letanosky, son Claud "Jackie" Letanosky Jr and granddaughter Amy Letanosky. As well as parents, Vern & Flora Creech, siblings Frank Creech and Christabelle Houston. Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow FL is handling all arrangements with eternal place of interment at the Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Melvina's name to the Good Shepherd Hospice in Lakeland FL.
