Melvin M. Osthoff

Bartow - Melvin M. Osthoff, age 91, passed away Saturday, July 7, 2018. He was born August 7, 1926 in Bartow, FL. He was a veteran in the US Army. Melvin retired as a Rural Carrier for the Post Office. He was a member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church, Bartow Police Department Reserve/Auxiliary Officer Unit, American Legion Bartow Post 3 and a Bartow Dixie Youth Baseball Umpire. He is survived by his wife Barbara Osthoff of Bartow, son; Bruce Osthoff and wife Melissa of Babson Park, daughter; Gwen Jones, brother; Carl Osthoff, three grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and four great grandchlidren. Family will receive friends Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 1 to 2 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. Funeral service will follow Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 2:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
