Melody Ruth Horne

Melody Ruth Horne, 67, of Bartow, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2026. Born on December 4, 1958, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Tampa, FL. Melody lived a life marked by faith, compassion, creativity and love. She worked as an accounting specialist and was known for her dedication, integrity, and attention to detail. Melody had a beautiful creative spirit and loved crafting. She was also a gifted musician who played both the piano and the bass guitar. Among her greatest joys were her horses and her beloved dogs, which she loved with all her heart. Above all, Melody was a devoted Pentecostal Christian. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and she faithfully lived with the hope and promise of eternal life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth Louise Gibson Conner and Walter Clinton Conner. Melody is lovingly survived by her devoted husband, Robert Horne; her beloved sons, Joshua Jackson and Jordan Jackson; her sister, Clintene Conner Brant; her brother Anthony Walter Conner; along withmany extended family members, cherished friends, and all whose lives were touched by her kindness and unwavering faith. Melody will be remembered for her gentle spirit, artistic gifts, her love of music, her compassion for animals, and her steadfast faith in God. Though she will be deeply missed, her legacy of love, kindness, and devotion to Christ will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." 2 Timothy 4:7.
