Melbalene A. Douberley

Melbalene A. Douberley, 89, passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at Lakeland Regional Medical Center. Born August 10, 1926 in Hacoda, AL, Mrs. Douberley was a resident of Bartow for since 1950, moving from Lakeland. She was a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints, Lakeland Highlands Ward. Mrs. Douberley is preceded in death by her husband: Troy Lee Douberley; son: Donald Douberley; daughter Judy Bennington and sister Elna May Looney. She is survived by her son: Marshall L. Douberley [Sharon] of Bartow; two brothers: Roy Adams, Mobile, AL and Waylon Adams, Montgomery, AL, a sister: Lucille Wiggins, Andalusia, AL; seven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildlren. Family will receive friends Saturday, November 14, 2015 from 10-11:00 A.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland.
