Highland City - Mazline Locklear Coppee, age 90, passed away Thursday, June 21, 2012 at Bartow Regional Medical Center of heart failure. Born May 20, 1922 in Robeson County, NC, Mrs. Coppee was a resident of Highland City for 7 years, moving from North Carolina. She was a member of the Pentacostal Church of God of North Carolina. Mrs. Coppee was preceded in death by a daughter: Ann Sowell & 4 sons: Linwood, Allen "Jr", Gerald & Jack Locklear. She is survived by a daughter: Carlene Pridgen (Alfred)of Highland City; 8 sons: Shelton Locklear & Kenneth Locklear [Debbie) of Bartow; Freddie Locklear (Marilyn) of Yoder, CO; Hubert "H.L." Locklear (Ann) of Bradenton; Artimes Locklear & Wayne Locklear of Sarasota; Ronald"Kermit" Locklear & Glenn Locklear of Highland City; , brother: Buck Jacobs, (Dottie) of Sarasota; sister: Joyce Lowery (Buck) of Newport, NC; 33 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren & 27 great great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Saturday, June 23, 2012 from 1-2 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 2 PM. at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland.
