Maurice Sullivan

Maurice W. Sullivan, Sr., 78, died Friday, April 18, 2008, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of respiratory failure. Born October 5, 1929 in Williston, FL, Mr. Sullivan has been a resident of Bartow 25 years moving from Pahokee. Mr. Sullivan was a public works supervisor for the City of Bartow for many years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Pahokee, a WW II navy veteran, a member of the Bartow American Legion Post #3, & the Bartow Moose Lodge #1213. He is survived by his wife: Bonnie J. Sullivan; 2 sons: Matt Sullivan of Naperville, IL & Mike Sullivan of Conway, AK; daughter: Marsha Sue Rossell of Phoenix, AZ; 2 step daughters: Cathy Bridges & Vicki Spivey, both of Bartow; brother: Jack Sullivan of West Palm Beach; sister: Dorothy Casadei of Bartow; 8 grandchildren & 7 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Sunday, April 20, 4-6 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 21, 2 PM at the funeral home.
