Matilde Espinosa

Mrs. Matilde Espinosa, age 82 passed away, due to complications from dementia, Sunday, November 18, 2007 in Bartow. Born, July 17, 1925 in the Canary Islands, Spain, Mrs Espinosa was a longtime Bartow resident and member of Saint Thomas Catholic Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Jorge A. Espinosa. She is survived by a loving family that includes three daughters; Miriam Martinez (Pedro) of Satellite Beach, Martha Laurent (John) of Bartow, and Madelyn Butler (Bill) of Tampa. She also leaves behind seven grandchildren; Adrian Martinez, Claudia Navidomskis, John Alexander Laurent, George Laurent, Olivia Butler, Christian Butler, and Donovan Butler. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Tuesday November 20, 2007 from 5 PM to 8 PM. A Rosary Service will be held at 7 PM Tuesday evening. Funeral services will follow Wednesday November 21, 2007 at 9:00 AM at St. Thomas Catholic Church 2180 South Kissingen Ave. Bartow.
