Mary Jeannette Hatton Gray, “Marynette”, age 89, passed away peacefully at her home in Bartow, Florida on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 beneath her Christmas tree with the angel smiling down upon her. Her children were by her side at the time of her passing. She was the only child of Bob and Annie Laura Hatton, of Bartow, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her son, Rob Gray, her daughter, Suzannah Albritton, and her grandsons- Joshua Rial, Zachary Rial and Jacob Albritton, as well as her beloved cat, Topper. Marynette was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother and a devout Christian. She was a graduate of Florida Southern College and an accomplished pianist. Family will receive friends at the Whidden McLean Funeral Home at 650 East Main Street in Bartow on Friday, December 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 22 at 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church at 310 S. Broadway Avenue in Bartow. Services will be conducted by Reverend Rodriguez of First United Methodist Church of Bartow and Pastor Blackburn of Victory Church in Lakeland. Internment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
