Bartow, FL - Mary Nell Sloan, age 78, passed away Friday, July 24, 2020 at her residence in Bartow, FL. She was born July 10, 1942 in Hayti, MO to George & Helen Earlene Rule, She was the owner & operator of Huff's Dam Inn restaurant in Berrien Springs, MI, after she sold her restaurant she then worked for Sears and Roebuck as a department manager in Benton Harbor, MI. She is survived by her husband, Elijah "J.R." Sloan, three sons, Doug Huff, Rick Huff & wife Lee Ann and Dave Huff, sisters, Janet Shortall and Ruth Ann Yerington, brother, George Rule & wife Vickie, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Services will be in St. Joseph, Michigan with Starks & Menchinger Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road in St. Joseph, MI 49085 handling the arrangements.
