Mary Gray Mclane

Mrs. Mary Gray McLane, age 76 of Bartow, died on Friday, March 6th, 2015 after succumbing to cancer. Mrs. McLane was born September 2, 1938 in Roanoke, Virginia to Allan & Grace Kinzie. She grew up in Lake Wales and was married to Wayne McAfee until his death in 1971. She married Dr. John R. McLane, moved to Bartow and joined Bartow First Baptist Church in 1973. She was quite active in the Christian Motorcyclists Association for ten years. Mrs. McLane is survived by her husband, Dr. John R. McLane and five daughters: Michele (Fred) Watrous and Julie Ervin of Lakeland, Karen (Alex) Thompson of Virginia Beach, VA, Lee Anne (Peter) Corbin of Brandon and Mary Stuart Calhoon of Lakeland and by eight grandchildren: Erica Watrous, Matt Ervin, Megan Walker, Taylor Walker, Bryce Walker, Sara Ann Kerr, Jennifer Savage and Maren Banker. Family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11, 2014 from 10:00-11:00 A.M. at Bartow First Baptist Church, 420 E. Church St, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M at the Church. Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to the "Food Pantry" at Bartow First Baptist Church, 410 E. Church St, Bartow, 33830.
