Mary Maggie Crews

Mrs. Mary "Maggie" Crews, age 86, passed away from pneumonia Wed. January 20, 2010 in Bartow. Born Sept. 23, 1923 in Geneva, AL, she was the daughter of the late John Thomas and Neelie Aycock. Mrs. Crews retired from Lakeland Highlands Packing Co. and was a member of Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church of Bartow. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Crews. She is survived by a loving family that includes two daughters; Frances Ezzard (Mansell) of Eatonton, GA, Bettye Platt (Don) of Snellville, GA, and her son Jim Crews (Bonnie) of Bartow. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Fri. Jan. 22nd at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street in Bartow from 6pm to 8pm. Funeral services will be held Sat. Jan. 23rd at Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church 1125 Hwy. 17 South in Bartow, at 2:00pm. Interment will be in Geneva County Alabama on Tues. Jan 26th.
