Mary E. Carr

Mary E. Carr, age 81, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2015 in Bartow. Born January 2, 1934 in Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late Marcus and Ethel Flurry. Mary was a longtime resident of Bartow. She worked as a registered nurse in the healthcare industry for many years. Mary is survived by four children: Melanie Lynn Carr of Jacksonville, Mark Edward Carr and Michael Ted Carr of Bartow, Benjamin P, Carr of Winter Haven, her siblings: Thomas Flurry of Sheffield, AL, Linda Flurry Scott of Nashville, TN, thirteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Services and interment will take place in Macon, Mississippi. A memorial service will be held at McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church, 695 West Stuart Street in Bartow on Friday, April 24th at 11:00am.
