Marvin A. Ward

Marvin A. Ward, 62, died Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of respiratory failure. Born March 7, 1947 in Bartow, Mr. Ward was a lifelong resident of the area. He was a supervisor with Central Florida Truss in Bartow for 17 yrs and Florida Rock Industries in Auburndale for 16 yrs. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Charlene Ward of Bartow; daughter: Jenny C. Ward-Orcasitas & fiance' Scooter Hampton of Bartow; 3 brothers: James Ward of Plant City; Leon Ward of Willow Oak & Wayne Ward of Winter Haven; 4 grandchildren: Emily & Hunter Orcasitas of Bartow; Ryan Hampton of Lakeland & Regan Hampton of Bartow. 1 great grandchild: Jayden Hampton of Lakeland. Family will receive friends Wednesday, July 29, 2009, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 30, 2009, 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
