Marvin "Merv" W. Peacock

Lakeland - Marvin W. "Merv" Peacock, 85, passed away peacefully Tuesday, January 20, 2015 at Palm Terrace Hospice in Lakeland, FL. Merv was born October 19, 1929, in Falco, AL, but lived most of his life in Bartow, FL. He served in the US Air Force, sold cars for Bartow Ford and worked at Mobil Chemical for over 27 years. He was an artist, poet, fisherman, hearts player, avid golfer and believed that people who didn't drink coffee should be "investigated." He was preceded in death by brothers, Mark, Lloyd, Gene, Robert, Howard & Ike Peacock, sister, Flora Lee Young and daughter Carol Griffin. He is survived by his son, Thomas Peacock of Tampa, FL, daughter Peggy Willis of Lakeland and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
