Martin Owens

Martin Owens, age 83, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2019 in Auburndale. Born September 21, 1936 in Martin, KY, he was the son of the late Matthew Owens and Virginia Catherine (Sammons) Owens. Mr. Owens was a member of the First Baptist Church of Eagle Lake. He retired from Eckerd Drugs after many years of service as a Manager. Martin is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 53 years, Roma Owens of Bartow, his children: Kevin Marcus Owens (Melody) of Clarksville, GA, LaDonna Perry (Tony) of Wauchula. Marta Miller (Todd) of Woodville, LaNeda Dykes (DeLynn) of Forsyth, GA, Sheila Borie (Dan) of Birmingham, AL, along with 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Monday, November 4th from 1pm to 2pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Graveside services will follow at 3:00pm at Auburndale Memorial Park in Auburndale, FL.
